ISIL chieftain detained by Iraqi forces in Kirkuk

TEHRAN, Oct. 31 (MNA) – Iraqi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Rasoul on Monday announced that a major ISIL chieftain was arrested.

The ISIL terrorist was arrested in a joint operation launched by Iraqi armed forces and counter-terrorism forces in Kirkuk.

Meanwhile, Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Unit (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Sha’abi announced that it has foiled a terrorist plot in Saladin province.

Two explosive belts were also found by Iraqi forces in the south of Samarra, according to the reports.
